Military Session

Kelly is being deployed over seas next month and wanted to have a session done for her parents as a gift before she leaves. Our goal for this session was to show off her personality, to honor her and make her family proud.. We met last Saturday on a chilly evening, but the wind and setting sun totally helped make these photos have more of an impact in my opinion. Thank you Kelly for your service, and we wish you well!!

  

Both of Kelly's Grandfathers also served in the Navy.

The A Family | Central Michigan Family Photographer

There's always added pressure when a fellow photographer wants to hire you to take their family photos. Tricia is a photographer based out of Chicago and was visiting family in the Central Michigan area this past weekend. We did a mini-session Saturday evening and while it was pretty darn cold out, the sun light was gorgeous. I'm such a sucker for evening light and love these images. I hope you do as well!

3 months | Personal Share

 I can hardly believe it, but it's been 3 months already since the birth of our sweet Hudson. It's such a blur, I can't believe how fast it has gone. He has grown so much and is getting to be so much fun. He's started to giggle and belly laugh which I cannot get enough of. He's also starting to reach out and play with the toys hanging from his baby play gym. This is fabulous for me as he can entertain himself for some length of time now and allow me to get some work done. Work time at the computer is few and far between now, so I take every spare minute I can grab to hop on and edit a photo or reply to an email.

His favorite thing to do right now... fist is always in his mouth.

I'm going to do a whole series of these photos through his first year. Crazy how much he changed in the first 3 months!

Madeline is 1! | Central Michigan Family Photographer

Madeline is one of my Watch Me Grow babies. I've been taking pictures of her since she was a newborn and it has been so much fun to watch her grow and change over the course of the past year. Thanks you W family for choosing me to capture your sweet baby girl's first year! I hope to see you all again in the future. :)

Ran Portraiture on Medium, erasing off eyes and hair
Ran MCP Actions, Color Explosion painting on the mom's scarf, blanket and background at 25%
Soft Light Layer at 25%, erasing off faces.

15 day old, Eli | Central Michigan Newborn Photographer

I love doing lifestyle newborn sessions, they are becoming one of my favorite things to photograph. Love capturing a family in their element as they welcome the newest addition to their home. Just the beginning moments of lives forever changed. I traveled nearly 2 hours to this session and it was so worth it. Hope you enjoy these photos of little Eli and the B family. :)
