2013 Mom & Me Sessions

Wanted to share a couple more pictures from each mom and me session I had for Mother's Day this year.  I love these and look forward to doing them annually!

Expecting a biker baby...

I met up last week with a super cute couple expecting their first child, a baby boy, in June. They are going to be such great parents!

 

The H Family

A couple weeks ago I had some fun capturing the H family in their own environment, at their downtown Ithaca, family owned diner, Rozena's Recipiez.  They are such a wonderful family, the kids are all so sweet and well behaved, and little Zoe pretty much melts me. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop in to their shop for something yummy to eat!!

Moody Children's Session

This session was a fun change of pace for me. I'm typically more about fun and colorful images, but mom had a vision. She chose the location and requested dark and moody images of her children. I was up for the challenge and these kids knocked it out of the park. Enjoy!

Quick snow shoot with my girl...

On Thursday we had the most beautiful, light, fluffy, snow-fall here in Michigan and it got me itching for a shoot in the snow. In a spur of the moment decision I decided to dress the baby in some cute clothes and take him out to try to get a picture of two.  He was so happy to be outside but the second I put him down... big, huge, crocodile tears! Fail. He was only happy to be outside if I was holding him, so I even tried a reach-out-and-snap ala cell phone style pic, but you can see how well that worked with a 50 mm lens on my camera. Double fail.

So today I decided to grab my 6 year old daughter (the only one of my 3 children I can rely on to cooperate for a photo shoot) and take her out for some pictures. I was so happy to see the sun shining and I found a cute coat and hat on clearance at Target this morning, we were good to go. We weren't out long, but I love what we got. I just wish she didn't look so darn grown up!
